1917 Standing Liberty Quarter Type 1 FullHead Gem BU

Well I had to put this coin up. It is one of my recent aquisitions. This is a prime example of a fully struck MS65 to MS66 coin with full head details. At this time I don't really want to sell this coin just share it!!! I will however entertain any offer over $2000 !! And $2300 would make me think about parting with it. So for now it is one of many beautiful coins I will share with youith pictures and history.

the Standing Liberty Quarter was designed by hermon A. MacNeil. Original issue was in 1916, which brings a very high price. In the middle of 1917 the design was changed and Liberty's bare breast was covered with mail. Whether it was due to public outcry or to show strength in WWI. These coins are highly sought after and come in 2 types. The type 1 1916-1917 and the type 2 1917-1930. They were minted in Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco. These coins are minted in 90% Silver. I hope you enjoy seeing this coin in it's finest!!!
